Documents and Records for Application
Gather the listed items before continuing your application to help the application process run more smoothly.
All applicants will need:
- A Church account if you are a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
- Student login information if you have attended any other CES institution.
- Transcripts from each school you have attended including Church Seminary and Institute (see New International Student Transcripts, New Domestic Student Transcripts, or Domestic Transfer Student Transcripts pages for more information).
- Test scores (ACT/SAT for U.S. students).
International applicants will also need:
- Legal name as it appears (or will appear) on your passport. You will need a passport if admitted. This will be used to get a student visa.
- City of birth.
- English proficiency exam scores. See BYU–Hawaii English Requirements.
- Secondary education transcripts (see the New International Student Transcripts page for more information).
- National exam, external exam, or university entrance exam scores (see your country's country criteria page for more information).
- Financial documents including:
- Family income or earnings documents (example: pay slip).
- Savings document (example: bank statement).
