Cost of Attendance and Financial Aid
Cost of Attendance
The majority of the cost of attendance at BYU–Hawaii is made up of tuition and room and board. Students should also plan to pay for books and fees, transportation, and personal expenses. See an estimated breakdown of these costs on the Cost of Attendance page.
Financial Aid
More than half of the students attending BYU–Hawaii have some kind of financial assistance, whether it's through one of BYU–Hawaii's unique work-study programs, internal scholarships, or external aid.
Work-Study Programs
BYU–Hawaii has two work-study programs, one for international students from BYU–Hawaii's target area, and one for domestic students. Both require the student to work while attending BYU–Hawaii, and a family contribution is determined by financial need. Applications for these programs are done after the student has completed an application to become a student.

Scholarships
Internal scholarships are available, though most are awarded without application. The Mission Deferred ITR and RMV Program and departmental scholarships do require additional information and applications after applicants are accepted.
