New Domestic Student Transcripts
Domestic students are individuals who have permanent residency in the United States. Their transcripts follow the process and standards commonly used in U.S. schools.
Official transcripts are required for new domestic applicants to show their completion of high school and that they meet the required cumulative grade point average.
High School Transcripts
The application will prompt you to self-report your grades. Transcripts will be then used to verify those grades. All new freshman admits must submit completed high school transcripts upon graduation from high school.
Homeschool or GED
Those who complete their secondary education through the General Education Development Test (GED), home study, home school, or other programs will be reviewed individually by the admissions committee to determine admissibility. Transcripts for any official high school or college classes taken must also be submitted.
Students who were homeschooled should follow instructions found on the Admission Requirements for Home Schooled Students page.
College Transcripts
If you earned college credits before graduating high school, send official transcripts to Admissions. You will not be considered a transfer student. Your credits will need to be evaluated to determine if they will be accepted at BYUH. Students who earn an associate's degree upon completing high school will be granted an exception.
Applicants who have earned college credits after completing high school should follow the instructions found on the Transfer Student page.
Sending Transcripts
Official transcripts must be sent through Parchment Exchange, National Student Clearing House, or a sealed letter from the school mailed to BYU–Hawaii Admissions. Any transcripts emailed will NOT be accepted.
All transcripts and documents must be received two weeks before the application deadline of the desired semester. Failure to follow instructions may result in a delay in your application, including the inability to apply for the desired semester.
