IB Credit

BYU–Hawaii will award transfer credits on a case-by-case basis by the academic department for students who have taken International Baccalaureate (IB) exams.

As of July 2021, the IB scores found on the IB Credit Evaluation Guide have been approved by the faculty. If a course and score is not currently on the evaluation guide, please contact your academic advisor for approval.

Important Facts About IB Credit:

  • Does not count toward 24 hours required to be a transfer student
  • Exam results must be received on an official International Baccalaureate transcript
  • Students will need to contact their high school for a transcript or visit the International Baccalaureate website for more information
