BYU–Hawaii Freshman Admissions Criteria

Pre-Admission Enrollment Program

In collaboration with Pacific Church Schools and to streamline the BYU–Hawaii application process, Form 7 (Year 13) students may apply to BYU–Hawaii before graduation. Standard application deadlines and requirements apply, including the submission of an English proficiency test, secondary education transcripts, and financial documents. Students planning to serve a mission before attending BYU–Hawaii can defer their enrollment to a future semester after their mission.

Admissions Criteria and Required Documents

  1. Complete Form 7:
    - Pass exams in five subjects, including English, with a score of 50 or higher in each.
    --OR--
    Complete the University of South Pacific Foundation Program:
    - Take at least seven courses, including English, and get a grade of “C” or better in each.
    --OR--
    Complete the Tonga National Form Seven Certificate (TNFSC):
    - Pass exams in five subjects, including English, and submit your transcripts.
    --OR--
    Complete BYU-Pathway's foundational PathwayConnect program (PC101, PC102, PC103, and the introductory certificate course):*
    - Score a minimum 3.0 GPA or higher
  2. Meet the English test requirement.

*The completion of a BYU-Pathway Worldwide program will waive BYU–Hawaii’s high school diploma/secondary education requirements.
