BYU–Hawaii Freshman Admissions Criteria

  1. Complete the Upper Secondary School Certificate:
    - Transcripts of all grades received will be required - 'B' grade average expected to be competitive for admission.
    --OR--
    Complete the Tonga National Form Seven Certificate (TNFSC):
    - Pass exams in five subjects, including English, and submit your transcripts.
    --OR--
    Complete the University of South Pacific Foundation Program:
    - Take at least seven courses, including English, and get a grade of “C” or better in each.
    --OR--
  2. Complete BYU-Pathway's foundational PathwayConnect program (PC101, PC102, PC103, and the introductory certificate course):*
    - Score a minimum 3.0 GPA or higher
  3. Meet the English test requirement.

*The completion of a BYU-Pathway Worldwide program will waive BYU–Hawaii’s high school diploma/secondary education requirements.
