BYU—Hawaii Freshman Admissions Criteria
Federated States: Pohnpei, Palau, Chuuk*, Kosrae*, Yap*, Northern Marianas, Saipan, Kwajalein.
- Submit high school transcripts:
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 or more. - Submit an ACT/SAT score:
- Have a a minimum ACT or equivalent score of 21.
--OR--
Meet the English test requirement, the ELAT, (English Language Admission Test)
--OR--
Complete BYU-Pathway's foundational PathwayConnect program (PC101, PC102, PC103, and the introductory certificate course):*
- Score a minimum 3.0 GPA or higher

*The completion of a BYU-Pathway Worldwide program will waive BYU–Hawaii’s high school diploma/secondary education requirements.

Challenge Program
Generally, BYU–Hawaii looks for students with a high school GPA of 2.8 or higher. Students with lower GPA scores can be considered for the Challenge Program.
