Thanks to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the cost of attending BYU-Hawaii is drastically lower than other liberal arts colleges. While the tuition of other colleges average at $35,000 a semester, a semester here at BYU-Hawaii is approximately $5,000.

Student Meal Plans

See the following Food Services for various meal plans and rates, hours, and dining locations as well as other food services. We have three options for on campus students. Off campus students and males living on campus have the opportunity to purchase block plans, where each block is one visit to our on-campus cafeteria.

Housing

Please visit Housing for further information (Sign in with your BYUH ID and password). I-WORK students and new freshmen students are to live on campus.

For Domestic Students,

New incoming students who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are eligible for the David O. McKay Scholarship. The recipients will be awarded a quarter or a half tuition. For more information, see our David O. McKay Recruitment Scholarship page. Also, don’t forget to apply for Pell Grants through FAFSA. For International Students, 

For those living in our target areas who need financial assistance, the IWORK program can help with the cost of tertiary education. The program offers a 50% grant and a 50% forgivable loan. See more about our IWORK program here.

For Returning Students, 

BYU-Hawaii offers a merit scholarship to those who have demonstrated academic excellence during their stay in BYU-Hawaii. The amount of this scholarship for this award varies according to the GPA of the student earned in BYU-Hawaii. For more information, see the Merit Scholarship page.
